Our client is a market leader in its chosen fields, manufacturing and supplying adhesives and coatings to the packaging, retail and building industries. Our business is known for its product quality and technical leadership.

You will be an experienced and motivated chemist to join our clients Technical Team as a Technical Service Officer.

You will be working primarily outside of the laboratory assisting customers, distributors and the sales department with technical enquiries, resolving technical disputes and resolving product complaints. You will also be training of all of these people in a dedicated training centre about products and their use.

The essential criteria for the role are as follows:

• Tertiary qualification, Diploma or Degree in Chemistry or material science.
• A minimum of five years experience in the adhesives and/or surface coatings industries as an R&D chemist or Technical Service officer.
• Experience in industrial adhesives, paint, ink or construction chemicals.
• Ability to work well autonomously as well as in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to meet deadlines
