Our client is a large electrical components company who is seeking an Account Manager to join their sales team. The main focus of this role is on building effective relationships within a portfolio of high opportunity accounts to gain an understanding of current and future needs and drive significant incremental sales. Full training can be given to an experienced technical engineer or electrician who is keen to be trained up into a sales role. Key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Develop an in depth understanding of the customer, their markets and competitors
• Provide solutions to meet customer needs by the implementation of relevant and cost-effective value added services
• Identify new contacts and expand the range of products purchased using the Value Proposition to position the company as their supplier of choice
• Maintain accurate customer records, CRM data and sales reporting data to maximize potential from the customer base.
• Provide monthly reports to include data on performance against sales targets and key metrics
• Work with other departments (Marketing, Telesales, New Business) to ensure appropriate and comprehensive coverage of all opportunities

You will be a confident person with excellent communication skills who really enjoys the sales and customer service side of your role. You will be results driven and self motivated with an ability to work independently in a remote area, and also be prepared to travel approximately 1 week each month.
