Our client is a dual listed company specializing in the production of iron ore deposits. With projects within the Western Pilbara region of WA already in preparation, they are searching for strong and ambitious Mining Engineers to become part of a well organized and strategic company. Whilst training and professional development is part of their high standard of work ethic when it comes to attracting and maintaining quality employees they also believe that health and safety is their number one priority. They have a growth plan of developing existing projects through expansion and strategic JV's.


In this role you will be responsible for producing medium to long term plans whilst reporting into the Senior Mine Engineer with the objective of creating a more cost efficient and productive site. You must be able to prioritize, allocate and monitor all forms of mining resources in order to meet target requirements whilst maintaining a high level of OH&S. You will also be assisting in pit optimization to maximize ore reserves whilst meeting production targets. Other duties will include but are not limited to :


Scheduling
Strategic planning
Conceptual designing
Statistical reporting

To be considered for this role you will need to have :


Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
3 years minimum post graduate experience in an open pit mining environment with exposure to planning duties
Proactive attitude
