Based in Brisbanes inner city, our client is currently seeking an experienced Safety Superintendent for the development of the safety systems for a brownfield coal mine in Central Queensland.
Reporting to the Safety Manager you will be responsible for developing and deploying existing Safety Management Systems into this new site which is expected to go operational in 2014/2015
You will provide expert technical advice, assistance and support to development of this mine site and supervise a team of 3 Safety Advisors.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Implementation for the HSE system and site training scheme,
Planning, monitoring performance and reporting statistical requirements,
Effectiveness of the implementation and application of OHS systems on site and provide advice on possible improvements,
Risk assessment facilitation and preparation of a risk regist
