Following a strategic review, a newly created opportunity exists for an experienced safety leader to drive cultural change and continuous improvement processes across the Eastern states.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><b>Reporting to the Regional General Manager and supported by a team of Health and Safety professionals key accountabilities include:</b></p><ul><li>Pro-actively driving consistent EHS standards and procedures with a view to building a zero harm safety culture </li><li>Working with and supporting management to integrate safety into day to day operational processes</li><li>Facilitating the implementation of specific risk management projects in the region</li><li>Identifying training needs and developing/delivering appropriate programs</li><li>Providing strategic oversight over Workers Compensation/Injury Management processes</li><li>Coaching and mentoring the regional health and safety team</li></ul><p style="text-align:justify;">To be successful in this position you should bring a demonstrated ability to <b>drive change </b>preferably in large, complex organisations. Working with a supportive management team and utilising your exceptional influencing skills, technical knowledge (supported by formal qualifications in EHS) and strong business acumen, you will develop a culture focused on continuous improvement of EHS standards. </p><p style="text-align:justify;"></p><p style="text-align:justify;">This position requires travel throughout the Eastern states including some remote locations.
