A position has become available for an experienced Chef de Partie for a busy upmarket Cafe in the Toorak / South Yarra area. This Cafe has a modern Australian style menu and trades breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. It has a great location and a trendy and funky feel about it and a team to match.

The successful chef will be committed and enjoy their trade, input to menu items and daily specials is encouraged. You will have excellent standards of hygiene & cleanliness and be able to maintain safe working practices no matter how busy it gets.

Within this position you are expected to have the following:

Previous experience in a Cafe environment with breakfast, lunch and dinner

Experience with managing high volume services

Competent in all areas of the kitchen including pans, grill and larder sections

Genuine passion for producing high quality meals

Ability to get long with other staff members
