Due to internal promotion and career progression, we now have the opportunity for a professional Project Manager to take on a senior management role within this fast growing national company. This role reports into the National Project Manager of Rolling Stock Projects and is responsible for the management of a number of high profile projects across the Freight Rail & Mining industry.

Key responsibilities for the role:

• Delivery of engineering strategies and solutions.
• Working on large scale and complex projects +$50M.      
• The supply and procurement across a number of projects.      
• Develop and maintain new technical strategies.     
• Develop and manage Risk Management Systems that assure all rolling stock configurations are consistent.
• Ensuring technical specifications meet user requirements.

This is a senior role accountable for the development and implementation of engineering and technical standards required for design, manufacture and delivery of locomotives and wagons to the Australian rail networks.

The successful applicant will also have key qualifications and demonstrated experience in:
    

• Degree qualifications related disciplines.
• +10 years experience in rolling stock design and maintenance.    
• Demonstrated leader or experience in similar role.
• Extensive experience in managing large and complex projects including risk identification management, manufacturing management and financial management. 
• Good project and procurement management skills.
• High level understanding around computer management software.
