Project Manager - Civil Mining (P2) A leading Australian consultancy specialising in the areas of mining automation technology and pit to port processes is seeking a new Project Manager to assist on an ongoing project. The consultancy is currently undergoing rapid growth and is branching out into Asia, America and Canada. They offer project methodology and ICT solutions to several large organisations within the resource sector. To be successful, you will need to have a background working as a Project Manager with extensive exposure to Civil Engineering related projects. Previous experience working in one or several of the following areas is essential: Tele-operated and autonomous drills Automated blast/charge trucks Operator-assist excavators Autonomous truck haulage Autonomous road-train haulage Heavy-haul rail automation (ATO) Remote-control shunting in rail marshaling yards High precision vehicle tracking and proximity detection Processing plant SCADA/PLC automation In addition to having a strong Civil Engineering background you must also have minimum of 5 years experience working on large projects with a proven delivery record. You must be able to drive forward projects to the expected outcome and have a solid disciplined approach that is still flexible in approach. You must also be comfortable dealing with third party vendors and possess first rate communication skills. The role is Perth based and offers the opportunity to work on a large scale multi million dollar project working with market leaders in the field of mine automation systems and processes. You will have previous experience gained within the mining industry.
