This is an opportunity for a professional and suitably qualified Signalling Project Engineer to join this well known international company involved in the design, manufacture and installation of railway signalling equipment and systems. The company has a strong focus on career advancement and providing innovative new designs for their customers.
You will monitor the progress of works to ensure the signalling design, testing and financial targets are met, ensure technical and safety standards are maintained, review tender and contract specifications to select the most appropriate supplier, and oversee the planning and delivery of resources for specific projects. You will also work closely with Project Managers on design changes, customer variations, delivery delays, budget and cost issues, and development of project safety plans, as well as directing the activities of project teams during the progress of multiple projects.
To be successful in this role you need to be tertiary qualified in an engineering discipline, have signalling hardware and software design experience in the rail industry, and working knowledge of CBI, ATS and ATC systems. You also need to have an understanding of Australian Standards and Codes, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work in a challenging and changing environment, a proven background working in multi-disciplinary teams, and good computer skills with MS Office.
